The 2011 Trip
Part 72 – Received four Christmas cards with our mail

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

This morning it was 6C or 43F with a slight breeze but we did not get the wind they were forecasting. Another day without a cloud in the sky.

Joan went for a morning walk around the park and had a great chat with a girl from Okotoks, Alberta. Okotoks is next to High River where our son Jeff lives.

Around 10 AM the wind picked up to a good breeze. We will leave the antenna where it lays for awhile. The wind died out after dinner and we put the antenna up around 2 PM. The temperature at 3 PM was 19C or 66F. It was nice sitting outside and we sat out quite awhile.

We had 14023 kilohertz tuned in but heard nothing on or around it.

It was still 19C or 66F at 7 PM but it felt much higher. The sunset was routine with a cloudless sky. We were up for the dancing at 3 to 5 PM. The music was one guy with an electric guitar who was singing and playing along with recorded music. It was not bad. We just watched the dancing. With this knee the pain would be more than severe.

We did our dumpster run on the way up to the dancing and picked up our mail at the same time. We received an Express Post with all our statements going back to November plus four Christmas cards. This should be the last until we get home in June.

After supper we watched another movie and the day terminated with the movie. The temperature at that time was 12C or 54F and the wind had picked up a bit but nothing the antenna could not handle.

Another good one is history.
