The 2011 Trip
Part 62 – No sunset rain forecasted

Sunday, January 30th, 2011

Karen, Joan and I went to church at 10 AM. Rev. Bob is from Oklahoma and very easy to listen to. The pianist was one we could listen to all day and the choir is very good. There were 258 in attendance from 637 sites. The sites are all rented but quite a few are empty, so those who have paid for them have not arrived. There is less than 20% of the populations that attends church these days. The average for this park appears to be about the same.

We went to Wal-Mart right after church. We were out of fresh water and picked up a few other things. We had lunch at Subway and then went to Fry's for a tank of diesel for the truck. We felt the truck could handle ninety dollars worth so bought eighty. She managed seventy-three so we had to get a credit on our credit card all via the tray, talking to the lady in the glass cage. We are convinced she was used to it from the way she went about it. One heck of a way to do business.

Karen and Joan spent the afternoon in the pool and I sat out and enjoyed the sun. After supper we did the laundry. We take the truck because it is a bit far to carry the laundry up and back.

There was no sunset whatsoever. The sky clouded over to the west as though it were a huge bank of fog rolling in and daylight just disappeared. Rain is forecasted and the temperature is suppose to lower to the sixties. But no rain at days end and another good one is over
